HR Generalist

3BLACKDOT is seeking a superstar HR Generalist. You’ll be responsible for creating a world class experience for our employees at all stages of the employee life cycle, providing timely and credible advice in line with policy, process and procedures.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work directly with and report to the Head of People & Culture to support all HR, Talent & Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition and Employee Engagement initiatives
  • Manage the full-cycle hiring process for employees including sourcing, recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and references, compensation analysis, managing Applicant Tracking System and reporting/analytics
  • Support creation of job descriptions for open positions and post open jobs
  • Facilitate new-hire procedures, including organizing and conducting employee onboarding and orientation, working with HR/Operations team in creating new employee files, administering employee handbooks, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly filled out and submitted to appropriate stakeholders
  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews and any HR/Business related meetings
  • Support Head of People & Culture on new or additional training materials and sessions for employees
  • Prepare materials and calendars to help organize employee performance management process
  • Manage the off-boarding experience, providing data-driven insight into leaving trends and suggesting recommendations to retain our top talent
  • Execute employee termination procedures
  • Under the leadership of the head of People & Culture, be a vital source of human resources information, answering any questions employees may have
  • Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface, using high level of confidentiality and discretion to escalate to head of People & Culture when needed
  • Responsible for creating and updating policies, templates and toolkits to support People processes
  • Keep abreast of employment law and inform/update the wider partnering team, driving a continuous learning culture
  • Support Employer branding initiatives in conjunction with social / marketing team
  • Make sure all employee records are filed correctly and kept confidential
  • Abide HR processes and stay up to date and be well-researched on current HR and employment laws and regulations (compliance, terminations, leave of absences, etc.)
  • Plan and execute any special projects and events CEO and Head of People & Culture need assistance with
  • Organize, maintain and update employee HRIS information
  • Support People & Culture in educating employees on current and new processes

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition
  • Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at prioritizing with strong time-management skills and demonstrated initiative
  • Positive and personable demeanor, understanding, empathetic and relatable with comfortability working in a highly visible role
  • Data driven, with an ability to translate analytics into insights and actions
  • HR competence and knowledge of HR process
  • Professional integrity and sense of responsibility; accountable with a high degree of discretion
  • Project management experience; experience using HR software and HRIS databases
  • Excellent collaborator and attentive listener
  • Reliable and engaged in working with a diverse workforce and ensuring employee requirements and needs are met
  • Ability to remain calm and flexible during stressful situations
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be willing to work in Los Angeles, CA
